Job Description
CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler, is seeking a Data Centre Technician to ensure the availability and reliability of its data centre operations in Crawley, UK. This is a 100% onsite position. The Data Centre Technician will work well with others and will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data centre operations. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair, and will include participation in an on-call rotation.
The role involves:
- Maintaining data centre operations to ensure service level availability and reliability.
- Conducting hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
- Performing root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
- Training internal teams and developing documentation.
- Providing technical support to data centre teams.
- Developing scripts to update server and networking hardware.
- Maintaining inventory and assembling/installing equipment.
- Performing maintenance of test and tools equipment.
- Occasional travel to other data centres as needed.
Requirements:
- At least five years of Data Centre experience.
- Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling).
- Linux Operating System experience.
- Ability to lift up to 22kg and work in elevated locations.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern and participate in on-call rotation.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and react quickly to issues.
- Hands-on or educational experience with computer networking, Python, Bash, Cisco IOS, and/or Juniper JunOS is a plus.
