Outset Medical is seeking a Senior Manager of Cloud Software Development to lead their cloud software development team. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud solutions within the medical device industry. The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the cloud software strategy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the cloud software development team.
• Applying AWS knowledge to develop sustainable, high-availability architectures.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and execute cloud software strategy.
• Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based applications.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards (SOC2, HIPAA, FDA, ISO).
• Driving continuous improvement in software development processes.
• Mentoring and developing team members.
• Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Managing budgets, resources, and timelines.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, data science, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 7+ years of experience managing and leading software development teams.
• Knowledge and use of Agile Scrum methodology.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Typescript, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in SQL, DynamoDB, S3, and experience with large-scale database-driven applications.
• Thorough communication and organizational skills.
