Monzo is seeking a Senior IFRS9 Modeller to join their Borrowing Credit & Data team. This role is crucial for supporting the rapid growth and evolution of Monzo's portfolio by developing and enhancing their suite of IFRS 9 models. The successful candidate will have oversight of model performance, construct PMAs/model overlays, and interact regularly with senior management.
The role involves:
End-to-end development and maintenance of IFRS 9 models (PD, EAD, LGD).
Construction of post-model adjustments / model overlays as required.
Implementation of new models.
Development and maintenance of economic-response models for scenario simulation and impairment.
Oversight and enhancement of model monitoring.
Presenting modelling results to risk forums, senior management, and executives.
Reviewing and challenging modelling solutions across the Borrowing collective.
Collaborating with portfolio strategy, model validation, finance, and external audit teams.
Requirements:
Strong background in IFRS 9 impairments.
End-to-end experience in developing and implementing credit models (PD, LGD, EAD).
Experience in monitoring ECLs and conducting driver analyses.
Strong analytical skills and a track record of delivering technical projects.
Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R.
Experience with a data visualisation tool (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
