Job Description

Verisign is seeking a skilled Mid-level Data Engineer to contribute to the design, building, and maintenance of large-scale, high-throughput data products and services. This role involves delivering actionable operational and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for all aspects of data engineering and be fluent in Java.Verisign expects the candidate to take full ownership of the data products, regularly interacting with internal customers, proactively identifying, prioritizing, and delivering on their common data needs.Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and optimizing real-time and batch data processing pipelines.
• Developing and maintaining custom Java, Scala, and Python components.
• Creating interactive dashboards for internal customers.
• Collaborating with various teams within Verisign.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar technical major or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of relevant Data Engineering experience.
• Experience with Akka Streams and Spark.
• Experience with Java, Scala, and Python.
• Experience with Druid, Hive, and other databases.
