Job Description
Lunar Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the full product development lifecycle of mechanical systems for their home energy products. The ideal candidate will collaborate within a small team, applying fundamental physical principles to design and working with high-volume production suppliers. Lunar Energy aims to transition homes to 100% clean energy.
The role involves:
- Collaborating with teams to refine product understanding.
- Brainstorming and evaluating new solutions.
- Testing ideas and designs through calculations, tests, and simulations.
- Designing high-performance, reliable parts and assemblies.
- Creating and reviewing drawings and specifications.
- Managing bills of materials and cost roll-ups.
- Defining manufacturing processes and inspection methods.
- Collaborating with part manufacturers.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in 3D Modeling software.
- Detailed knowledge of 2D Drawing creation and GD&T.
- Ability to analyze designs using various methods.
- Experience with PCBA management.
- Working knowledge of Thermal Management techniques.
- Prototyping skills.
- Experience communicating with component suppliers.
- Ability to generate Work Instructions.
- Experience with Onsite Build Support.
- Ability to generate detailed design documentation.
- Skilled at clear communication.
