Job Description
The National Football League (NFL) is seeking a Director of Partnerships to lead the Commercial team in managing partners with sponsorship rights in Germany/DACH. This role, based in Dusseldorf, Germany, requires strong leadership skills and cross-functional experience to champion partner programs. The Director will be measured against team performance, sponsorship revenue, activation, satisfaction, and fan engagement metrics.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with existing NFL partners and resolving issues.
- Identifying key decision-makers at the C-suite level.
- Leading the local renewals process and supporting upsells to meet revenue targets.
- Supporting global new business by providing market perspectives.
- Identifying opportunities and revenue streams, including digital opportunities.
- Building innovative propositions to attract potential sponsors.
- Managing local sales agencies.
- Overseeing the activation and asset development of key League priorities.
- Providing updates to the GM, Germany, and US Global Sponsorship Team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).
- German/English fluency.
- At least 7 years of experience in sports or with an agency.
- Sports Sponsorship background.
- League or Club experience.
- Client management experience.
- Sales/Revenue generation.
