Monzo is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Manager to lead the Financial Crime machine learning team. This role involves shaping the vision, strategy, and team for machine learning within the Financial Crime domain. The Senior Machine Learning Manager will collaborate with cross-functional squads, including Product Managers, Engineers, and Data colleagues, to identify impactful machine learning opportunities and implement high-quality systems.This role involves:
  • Leading the design, build, and delivery of machine learning systems.
  • Supporting, coaching, and developing Machine Learning Scientists.
  • Coordinating with other Machine Learning and Platform teams to ensure best practices.
  • Leading a team of 5+ machine learning professionals
Requirements for this role include:
  • Experience managing teams of 5 or more high-performing Machine Learning professionals.
  • Experience owning Machine Learning systems in production.
  • Understanding of how ML systems work and how to design them based on business problems.
  • Experience collaborating with senior business stakeholders and product teams.
  • Empathetic leadership style with the ability to build strong relationships.
