Data Center Technician (f/m/d)

Job Description

IONOS is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain the optimal performance of server, storage, network, power, and cooling systems within their data center. The technician will play a crucial role in preventing data loss and equipment damage, ensuring a 99.999% uptime environment. This position is anticipated to primarily work 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation, assembly, and installation of racks, servers, storages, and network equipment.
• Diagnostics of servers, storages, and network equipment in both lab and production environments.
• Installation and documentation of cabling for network connectivity.
• Asset tracking of inventory using internal tools.
• Collaboration with domestic and international customers or support teams.
• Working shifts in a 24/7 environment in a rotational schedule.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of experience working in an IT role with an emphasis on hardware and/or infrastructure.
• A+ or Network+ Certification or equivalent work experience.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to other locations in the Kansas City area.
