Job Description
Harbinger is seeking a Vehicle Durability Test Engineer to plan, execute, and analyze vehicle testing activities. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, contributing to the successful development and launch of new vehicles.
What this role involves:
- Develop and execute test plans for various vehicle systems and components.
- Select the instrumentation, instrument the vehicle and ensure the quality of the data recorded.
- Conduct vehicle testing on test tracks, public roads, and controlled environments.
- Analyze test data to identify and diagnose performance issues and defects.
- Document test results, findings in Jira, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Work collaboratively with design, development, and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of test methodologies and standards.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in vehicle testing technologies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Vehicle Test Engineer or related role.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems and components, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and electronics.
- Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans.
- Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with automotive testing standards (e.g., ISO, SAE) is a plus.
- Experience with specific testing methodologies (e.g., NVH, durability, reliability) is a plus
