Staff Accountant

Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR) is seeking a Staff Accountant to handle daily accounting for IBG and its international electronic brokerage subsidiaries. The role requires a highly organized and analytical individual who enjoys problem-solving. The candidate will have opportunities for advancement and increased responsibilities.

The Staff Accountant will gain knowledge of financial market operations in the US and other countries, covering various tradable products through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining accounting functions for a subsidiary company.
• Preparing annual financial statements and liaising with external auditors.
• Creating monthly analytical commentaries on financial results and business metrics.
• Maintaining and enhancing group mappings for automated entries.
• Identifying areas for automation and coordinating with programming teams.
• Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Requirements:

• On a path to achieve Chartered Accountant designation.
• 2-3 years of experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of technology & automation (a plus).
• Ability to specify programming requirements (a plus).
• Self-starter who doesn't require constant supervision.
• High level of attention to detail.
