Software Engineer

Job Description

Interactive Brokers is seeking a Software Engineer to enhance customer-facing trading applications and back-end systems. The role involves designing, building, and optimizing trading and back-office applications. The Software Engineer will collaborate with global teams to develop technology solutions, write client/server-side code, and address scalability issues.

Role Involves:
• Designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions.
• Developing technology solutions to improve customer-facing and back-end applications.
• Writing client/server-side code for web-based applications.
• Creating high-volume production applications and prototypes.
• Collaborating with engineering teams in Europe and the US.
• Addressing scalability issues related to data access.

Requirements:
• MCA/BE/Btech/Mtech/ME degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in software development.
• Experience programming in Java and Oracle/MySQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data storage solutions.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Fluency in English.
