Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Lead Industrial Designer in Taipei, Taiwan, to contribute to the design and development of cameras, access control systems, sensors, and other connected devices. The Lead Industrial Designer will collaborate with a team of designers and hardware engineers, providing creative vision from concept to mass production. They will also maintain and evolve Verkada’s product design language, ensuring solutions align with brand principles and customer needs.
The role involves:
- Creating the visual and physical language of the brand through hardware design.
- Providing creative guidance to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Presenting design concepts and strategies to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with hardware engineering to prototype and test new product concepts.
- Working with international vendors and manufacturing partners.
Requirements include:
- A portfolio showcasing mass-produced products.
- 7+ years of experience as an Industrial Designer in consumer or enterprise electronics.
- Experience with cameras, sensors, control systems, or connected devices (preferred).
- Deep understanding of product development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D digital tools (Solidworks, Rhino, Fusion 360, Keyshot, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
