Job Description
Verkada is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to drive new business acquisition in the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market within Louisiana and Arkansas. The Enterprise Account Executive will develop and execute a sales strategy within an assigned territory, focusing on new customer acquisition and revenue growth.
Role Involves:
- Field-based sales activities (50% of time)
- Developing and implementing a territory plan
- Managing the entire sales process
- Prospecting and outreach to new SLED business opportunities
- Providing product demos and trials
- Strategic negotiations with customers and channel partners
- Driving customer retention
- Devising a customer acquisition strategy
- Creating presentations and proposals
- Providing account analysis and revenue forecasts
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of quota-carrying software/hardware technology or channel sales experience
- 2+ years selling technical solutions or products to the Public Sector (SLED, Local Government, Municipalities) is a plus
- Proven track record of success in a sales-driven organization
- Strong field presence and willingness to travel up to 50%
- Hunter sales mentality with a strong desire to be successful
- Customer-focused with extensive experience developing customer relationships within SLED accounts
- Experience managing longer, complex sales cycles
- Experience collaborating with an internal channel partner team
- Relevant software or hardware industry experience
- Strong knowledge and execution of MEDDIC is highly preferred
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and confident
- Excellent communication skills
- BS/BA degree strongly preferred
