Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Director of Technical Content and Delivery to lead the design and building of its global technical certification, training, and enablement program. This role reports to the VP of Solutions Engineering and involves leading a team of technical content creators and trainers, architecting certification tracks, and developing technical content. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technical, and passionate about building a program that scales globally.
Role Involves:
- Designing and launching Verkada’s global technical certification and training program.
- Building and scaling a team of technical content creators and trainers.
- Partnering with Solutions Engineers and partner technical teams.
- Championing in-person, lab-based, and hardware-integrated training experiences.
- Creating enablement assets, including certification exams, labs, and training modules.
- Supporting training events and gathering feedback in the field (25–30% travel).
- Working cross-functionally with various teams to ensure content is current and accurate.
- Defining and tracking success metrics around adoption and knowledge retention.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in technical training, certification, or enablement leadership roles.
- Strong background in networking, IoT, physical security, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Proven success building and scaling technical certification programs.
- Hands-on experience creating labs, writing content, and building assessments.
- Experience leading teams of content developers and instructors.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Passion for in-person learning and hardware-driven labs.
- Strong project and program management skills.
