Job Description
Author Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist to serve as a Psychiatrist Pod Lead. This role involves direct psychiatric care and overseeing a pod of psychiatric nurse practitioners. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing and treating serious mental health conditions in adult and older adult patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric clinical leadership to a designated psychiatry pod.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals.
- Conduct regular case reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Manage the psychiatric care of a panel of patients, including assessments and medication management.
- Implement and monitor clinical protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) and Board certification in Adult Psychiatry.
- Active medical licensure in the states of practice, Florida and Texas.
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric conditions and treatment modalities.
- Experience treating patients with serious mental illness.
- Leadership experience in clinical psychiatry.
- Telehealth experience.
- Experience supervising psychiatric nurse practitioners.
