- Taking accountability for delivery across squad(s).
- Fostering a high bar for engineering excellence.
- Leading, supporting, coaching and developing engineers.
- Driving technical initiatives to raise the bar for engineering practices.
- Leading communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the wider engineering organization.
Requirements:
- Strong technical and delivery background.
- Comfortable operating with ambiguous problem areas with a high degree of autonomy.
- Delivery experience and ability to guide the squads in achieving their outcomes.
- Ability to input, understand and challenge engineering decisions.
- Understanding of what good looks like for a high-performing team of engineers.
- Ability to coach people to achieve their goals.
- Natural ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Monzo offers:
- Base salary range between £101k - £140k (depending on experience) + stock options & benefits
- Flexible working with no company mandate on how often to come into the office.
- Remote within the UK (with ad hoc visits to London office).
- Flexible working hours.
- Learning budget of £1,000 a year.
