Job Description

Northeast Dermatology Associates is seeking a Mohs Medical Assistant/Surgical Technician to deliver patient-centered care to individuals undergoing Mohs surgery. The role involves maintaining a safe and efficient environment by conducting pre-surgical evaluations, providing patient and family education, assisting with surgical procedures, managing patient flow, and maintaining patient records.

• Conduct initial assessments and develop care plans.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education.
• Prepare the surgical area and assist the surgeon during procedures.
• Administer anesthesia under supervision.
• Document patient care in the EMR system.
• Maintain a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient safety and assist with mobility.
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a medical assistant or surgical technician.
• Experience in dermatology is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in the use of surgical instruments and maintaining sterile environments.
