Software Engineer

Monzo is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Barcelona, Spain. Monzo is on a mission to make money work for everyone, waving goodbye to the complicated ways of traditional banking. The Software Engineer will collaborate within a squad of diverse professionals, including product managers, marketers, designers, and analysts, to build and support a particular part of Monzo. The role involves working on the backend of a technology product, focusing on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions. Monzo values learning and offers support to get up to speed with their technologies.

Requirements:

• Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
• A product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes.
• Comfort working in a team that deals with ambiguity.
• Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
• Experience with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C, Scala etc.).
