Job Description
Apollo.io is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their Retention Squad. This role focuses on reducing churn, driving engagement, and maximizing customer lifetime value. The Senior Product Designer will collaborate with PMs, Engineers, and other Designers to create seamless experiences that deliver measurable impact. This is a high-impact role where the work will directly influence Apollo’s vision of becoming the all-in-one GTM platform.
Role involves:
- Partnering with PMs, Engineers, and Analysts to identify churn drivers and friction points using user research and behavioral data.
- Designing experiments and experiences that improve retention, cross-use case adoption, and depth of usage across Apollo’s surfaces.
- Elevating key moments in the user journey through smart UX, education, and contextual guidance.
- Crafting UX that supports self-serve activation and intelligent onboarding, leveraging AI.
- Embedding habit-forming, value-reinforcing patterns such as progress tracking, nudges, and personalized dashboards.
- Regularly interviewing users and test hypotheses to validate new designs and refine existing ones.
- Collaborating with the broader design org to maintain a cohesive experience and evolve Apollo’s design system.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience designing and shipping complex web-based products founded in data and customer insights.
- Experience working on growth, activation, or retention-focused teams.
- Expert design instincts & best practice knowledge.
- Self-starter that thrives while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating and maintaining components across multiple product surfaces in Figma.
- Voracious learner, constantly trying to learn how to improve customer experience, drive core metrics.
- Passion for typography and copywriting.
