Engineering Manager

Apollo.io is seeking an Engineering Manager to foster excellence and growth within its engineering team. This role involves hands-on mentorship and accelerating the careers of team members. The Engineering Manager will help define team goals, promote a culture of learning, and improve development processes. They will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality software and participate in key decision-making processes.Role involves:

• Participating in technical discussions (sprint planning, software design)
• Building and scaling the engineering team through sourcing and hiring
• Conducting weekly 1:1 meetings with engineers
• Developing and executing personalized goals for engineers
• Conducting quarterly performance reviews

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3-5 years of people management experience, leading senior engineers
• Proven track record of technical leadership
• Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering processes
• Experience with Ruby and Python
• Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance software development processes
