Monzo is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead its Borrowing division. This role involves leading an organization of approximately 50 individuals, with expectations for growth in the coming months. The Senior Director will be responsible for overseeing Monzo's main lending products, including Monzo Flex, loans, overdrafts, homeownership, and cashback and rewards.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Building trust and empowering teams to achieve high performance.
  • Collaborating effectively with diverse teams and functions.
  • Understanding the business and products deeply.
  • Organizing and evaluating team success using key metrics.
  • Challenging senior leaders with data-driven insights.
  • Diving deep into data for decision-making in complex situations.
  • Overseeing Monzo's main lending products including Monzo Flex, loans and overdrafts, homeownership, and cashback and rewards.
Requirements:
  • Experience leading an organization of at least 50 individuals.
  • Experience scaling up healthy engineering organizations.
  • Proven ability to build trust and empower high-performing teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Over ten years of experience shipping successful digital products.
