Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join their AMER Enterprise Team. This role focuses on supporting GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers, providing account leadership in both pre- and post-sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD automation and secure development practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
- Ensuring the successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management.
- Contributing product ideas to GitLab's public issue tracker.
- Generating qualified leads and developing new customers in conjunction with strategic channel partners.
- Expanding knowledge of the industry and GitLab's competitive posture.
- Preparing activity and forecast reports.
- Contributing to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
- Assisting sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers and technical support staff.
- Developing account plans based on customer business needs.
- Collaborating with Marketing on marketing strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience selling into large organizations.
- Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management, or security/App Sec tools.
- Alignment with GitLab's values.
- Ability to use GitLab.
- Ability to travel if needed.
