Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join their AMER Enterprise Team. This role focuses on supporting GitLab’s strategic large prospects and customers, providing account leadership in both pre- and post-sales processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD automation and secure development practices.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
  • Ensuring the successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management.
  • Contributing product ideas to GitLab's public issue tracker.
  • Generating qualified leads and developing new customers in conjunction with strategic channel partners.
  • Expanding knowledge of the industry and GitLab's competitive posture.
  • Preparing activity and forecast reports.
  • Contributing to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
  • Assisting sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers and technical support staff.
  • Developing account plans based on customer business needs.
  • Collaborating with Marketing on marketing strategies.

Requirements:
  • Experience selling into large organizations.
  • Ability to leverage established relationships and proven sales techniques.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Preferred experience with Git, Software Development Tools, Application Lifecycle Management, or security/App Sec tools.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
  • Ability to travel if needed.
