Job Description

GitLab, an open core software company known for its AI-powered DevSecOps platform, is seeking a Major Account Executive to join their team in Paris. This role involves identifying and engaging with key decision-makers to secure new partnerships and drive revenue growth. The Major Account Executive will manage the end-to-end sales process, leveraging resources such as Solutions Architects, Customer Success Managers, and Marketing teams to build strategic, long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the customer's business, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. They will contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses, communicate lessons learned to the team, and provide account leadership throughout the sales process. This role requires a consultative approach to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying, prospecting, and engaging with key decision-makers
  • Managing the end-to-end sales process
  • Leveraging solution selling expertise to address customer needs
  • Developing strategic, long-term partnerships with customers
  • Providing account leadership in the pre- and post-sales process
  • Conducting sales activities and developing opportunities in major accounts
  • Ensuring successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products

Requirements include:

  • Based in Paris and able to meet with customers regularly
  • Strong hunting and expansion experience across top customers in France
  • Proven track record of selling multi-million dollar deals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with solutions selling and value positioning
  • Deep understanding of Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management
  • Alignment with GitLab's values
  • Ability to use GitLab
  • Ability to travel if needed
