Job Description
GitLab, an open core software company known for its AI-powered DevSecOps platform, is seeking a Major Account Executive to join their team in Paris. This role involves identifying and engaging with key decision-makers to secure new partnerships and drive revenue growth. The Major Account Executive will manage the end-to-end sales process, leveraging resources such as Solutions Architects, Customer Success Managers, and Marketing teams to build strategic, long-term customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the customer's business, industry trends, and the competitive landscape. They will contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses, communicate lessons learned to the team, and provide account leadership throughout the sales process. This role requires a consultative approach to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Identifying, prospecting, and engaging with key decision-makers
- Managing the end-to-end sales process
- Leveraging solution selling expertise to address customer needs
- Developing strategic, long-term partnerships with customers
- Providing account leadership in the pre- and post-sales process
- Conducting sales activities and developing opportunities in major accounts
- Ensuring successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products
Requirements include:
- Based in Paris and able to meet with customers regularly
- Strong hunting and expansion experience across top customers in France
- Proven track record of selling multi-million dollar deals
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with solutions selling and value positioning
- Deep understanding of Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management
- Alignment with GitLab's values
- Ability to use GitLab
- Ability to travel if needed
