Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Public Sector Strategic Account Executive to drive growth across civilian federal agencies. This role involves shaping how these agencies deliver services through secure and efficient software development. The Strategic Account Executive will report to an Area Sales Manager or Regional Director.

Role involves:
  • Building and executing strategic account plans aligned with agency modernization initiatives.
  • Navigating complex procurement cycles and developing technology roadmaps.
  • Partnering with system integrators and resellers to create solutions.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for strategic prospects.
  • Providing account leadership in pre- and post-sales processes.
  • Conducting sales activities, including prospecting and developing opportunities.
  • Ensuring successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products.
  • Contributing product ideas to the public issue tracker.
  • Traveling to accounts to develop relationships and close opportunities.
  • Generating qualified leads and developing new customers with channel partners.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience selling technology solutions to U.S. Civilian Agencies.
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement vehicles and compliance requirements.
  • Consultative approach to position technology as a mission enabler.
  • Passion for open source and modern software development practices.
  • Track record of navigating stakeholder environments and building consensus.
  • High degree of major account management and control.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Alignment with GitLab's values.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
