Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Senior Sales Strategy Analyst to play a crucial role in shaping its go-to-market strategy. This position directly impacts sales effectiveness and revenue growth by extracting actionable insights from complex sales data and collaborating with sales leadership and cross-functional teams. The analyst will primarily support the Americas direct sales organization and the WW Solution Architect (SA) organization.
What this role involves:
- Being a trusted advisor to Sales and Solutions Architect Leadership
- Partnering with Sales, SA, Marketing, Ecosystem, Finance and Product teams to develop go-to-market strategies
- Supporting SA and AMER sales teams on territory planning, resource alignment, and quota setting
- Collaborating with regional sales leaders and SA teams to execute sales management disciplines and processes (forecasting, QBRs, pipeline analysis and development)
- Conducting sophisticated, detailed analysis and clearly communicate results
- Building and maintaining dashboards to track key performance indicators
- Creating and delivering presentations to support CRO and Sales Leaders in internal Sales events
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency
- Independently managing initiatives from ideation to execution
- Developing an understanding of and stay current with the competitive landscape
Requirements:
- Demonstrated progressive experience in an analytical role within a technology business. Preference for Sales Strategy or Business Intelligence/Analytics experience.
- Experience working with sales-focused teams to analyze performance metrics
- Proficiency with SQL, Salesforce, and Tableau
- Excellent quantitative and problem solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Curiosity and eagerness to uncover new processes and insights
- Alignment with GitLab’s values
