Apollo.io is seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to enhance quality engineering initiatives and scale the production environment. The role involves working within the engineering organization to implement best practices in technology, architecture, and process. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software development, a passion for quality engineering, systems engineering, automating operations, infrastructure security, and high-availability systems.Apollo.io offers an open and collaborative environment with opportunities for mentorship and career growth. - Lead in implementing the overall testing strategy and methodologies.
- Drive the adoption of CI/CD practices.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies in software testing.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex bugs and issues.
- Collaborate with the DevOps/Infra team to improve infrastructure.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams at Apollo.
- Database support with MongoDB, ElasticSearch, RedisCache and BigQuery.
- Lead the design and development of advanced automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to integrate quality assurance processes early in the software development lifecycle.
- Serve as a thought leader in software testing, mentoring and guiding QE teams.
- Oversee and manage complex testing projects.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar
- 5+ years of experience in developing software, automated frameworks and test automation tools
- Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and various types of databases
- Good knowledge of MongoDB or ElasticSearch
- Experience with technologies like Docker, VPN, Kubernetes
- Experience with Distributed Systems
- Good understanding of automation testing and frameworks like Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright or Rspec
- Exposure to modern backend programming languages - Java, Python or Ruby
- Experience with JavaScript and/or Typescript
- Familiarity with cloud solutions GCP or AWS
