Job Description
Verra Mobility is seeking a Field Services Technician to join their team in Wellington, New Zealand. This role involves installing, maintaining, and monitoring fixed and mobile speed camera systems in the field. The technician will report to the Operations Supervisor – NZ Maintenance Program and will be supported by a skilled team.
The Field Services Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining Verra Mobility’s reputation as a leader in road safety and supporting the success of the NZ Field Operations team. This position requires regular regional travel, working at heights, and troubleshooting complex technology, combining mechanical precision with strong software and networking problem-solving skills.
Role Involves:
- Installing, commissioning, and maintaining road safety systems.
- Working flexibly to a set roster, including after-hours, weekends, and public holidays.
- Conducting accurate fault diagnosis and system rectification.
- Completing detailed documentation and maintenance reports.
- Operating professionally and collaboratively within the APAC Operations team.
- Engaging with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Maintaining company property and supporting WHS practices.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in electronics, IT, telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software systems.
- Experience supporting network configurations (LAN/WAN), cabling, and on-site installations.
- Comfort working with bespoke or in-house developed technology.
- Full, unrestricted NZ Driver Licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including medical, drug and alcohol testing, and a police check.
