Job Description

Verra Mobility is seeking a Senior Counsel to join its dynamic legal team. The Senior Counsel will report to the Sr. Associate General Counsel, Government Solutions, and will be responsible for providing legal support critical to the government solutions and parking business units. This role involves a wide range of legal subject matters, with each week bringing fresh and varied challenges. The successful candidate will ensure that current and future products and services achieve business objectives and customer expectations through close collaboration with sales, product, operations, finance, contracts, and compliance professionals.Verra Mobility is looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is focused on profitable, rapid, and sustainable growth.Role involves:

• Advising on and optimizing legal risk and compliance considerations.
• Drafting, negotiating, and managing government and commercial contracts, licensing agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Spotting potential privacy issues and providing business-oriented resolutions.
• Collaborating with IP counsel on patent and other IP-related matters.
• Assisting with litigation matters and other regulatory or stakeholder disputes.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school and in good standing with a state bar association.
• 5+ years as a practicing attorney with an emphasis on government and/or commercial contracting matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations and fast-paced environments.
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
