Job Description
Recursion is seeking an In Vitro Toxicologist to drive collaborative efforts in identifying and validating novel in vitro safety assessments. This role involves expanding the platform for decoding toxicity/safety, with the goal of building advanced in vitro toxicology screening to predict toxicities. The In Vitro Toxicologist will work with early project teams, providing scientific expertise and leadership for the safety assessment of Recursion programs.
Responsibilities: - Implement innovative experimental or computational strategies.
- Adapt toxicology screening strategies to predict and mitigate safety risks.
- Provide subject matter expertise on cross-functional project teams.
- Act as a key resource for early safety assessment.
- Collaborate with external collaborators.
- Partner with project teams to develop optimal strategies.
- Provide verbal and written summaries.
- Present summary data to project teams, senior leadership, and external partners.
Requirements: - Pharm D or Ph.D in toxicology, Pathology, Physiology, Biochemistry or related field.
- 1-2 years of postdoctoral experience preferred.
- Background in cell biology and imaging techniques, or molecular biology.
- Experience in designing and developing high throughput screening assays.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues with biological experiments.
- Skilled in interpreting observed phenotypic signatures.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Keen interest in artificial intelligence and its application to drug discovery.
