Job Description
Beyond Finance is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to enhance its security capabilities. The candidate will lead and mentor a team of security engineers, design and implement security technologies, and protect the company's infrastructure, applications, and data. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with expertise in modern security platforms like Datadog, Wiz, and CrowdStrike, as well as extensive experience with AWS and cloud-native infrastructure. The Lead Cybersecurity Engineer will report to the Engineering team.

What this role involves:
  • Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of cybersecurity engineers.
  • Defining and executing security architecture and roadmap.
  • Overseeing implementation and operation of security tools.
  • Developing and maintaining security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.
  • Conducting threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
  • Collaborating with DevOps, IT, and Engineering teams.
  • Designing and implementing security controls for AWS and other cloud-native environments.
  • Responding to security incidents and leading post-mortem investigations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current security threats, trends, and compliance standards.
  • Driving continuous improvement of security policies, procedures, and controls.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or relevant years of experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Native applications (CNAPP) including Datadog, Wiz, CrowdStrike, etc.
  • Extensive experience designing and securing AWS environments and cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Expertise in cloud security (AWS, GCP).
  • Proficiency in security monitoring, incident response, and threat hunting.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing security teams.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS Controls.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
