Solutions Architect II, Professional Services

Job Description

Planet is seeking a Solutions Architect II to join its Professional Services team in Europe. This role is based in Mons, Belgium, and will involve working on-site at the customer's office five days a week. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for the implementation, integration, and analysis of new software and data products that extend the Planet Platform and deliver new capabilities to federal customers.Planet is a global company with employees working remotely worldwide and joining from offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands.Role involves:

• Building and maintaining APIs for enterprise and federal customers
• Understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions
• Defining, creating, and analyzing usage metrics to drive customer growth
• Leveraging analytical skills to deliver products and support mission requirements
• Participating in team on-call rotation for production services

Requirements:

• Computer science, software/systems engineering, or related degree
• 6+ years of relevant work experience, with 5+ years supporting NATO and/or DoD/IC customers
• Specialized technical experience in systems integration and intelligence analysis
• Fluency in Golang, Python, Postgresql, & React or related technologies
• Experience with cloud deployments (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Experience designing and evolving public-facing APIs
• Experience solving complex problems through analytical skills
• Experience scaling and maintaining production systems
