Job Description
Planet is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy for Tanager hyperspectral data products. This role involves working with the Tanager Mission and product teams to position capabilities in the market, shape messaging, and drive customer adoption across various industries. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of remote sensing technology and its applications, particularly in climate and emissions monitoring, energy, defense, and industrial markets.
Role Involves:
- Developing and executing the go-to-market strategy for the Tanager hyperspectral product line.
- Collaborating with the Tanager Product team to translate product capabilities into value propositions.
- Refining the program strategy and identifying promising commercial application areas for hyperspectral data.
- Creating compelling materials to support sales and marketing efforts.
- Driving awareness and thought leadership through various channels.
- Developing enablement tools and training materials.
- Driving product launches and ensuring successful market adoption.
- Monitoring market trends and customer feedback.
- Representing Planet at industry events and conferences.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 6+ years of product marketing experience with a track record of driving go-to-market strategies for technical products.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer insights.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects.
