Job Description
Hibu is seeking a Collections Representative to manage delinquent accounts through direct telephone contact and follow-up collection efforts. This role requires a high level of persuasiveness, assertiveness, sensitivity, and diplomacy to maintain positive customer relationships and minimize bad debt exposure.Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining telephone contact with customers to ensure prompt payment.
  • Managing a collection assignment of customers with past-due balances.
  • Inputting professional comments in the company database.
  • Speaking with customers via a dialer in both incoming and outgoing situations.
  • Establishing mutually acceptable payment plans within specific timeframes.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with the Sales Organization and other internal departments.
  • Providing monthly comments to management.
  • Making collection calls, sending collection emails, contacting Sales, and updating daily assignment spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Handling billing questions, processing credit card payments, analyzing account payment history, and performing account maintenance.
  • Assisting Customer Service with the negotiation of claim situations involving collection activity.
  • Communicating effectively with the management team to resolve customer concerns quickly.
  • Reviewing and replying to incoming department emails professionally.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • 1-2 Years of Job Related Experience
  • MS Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency
  • Prior Customer Service (Phone) and Call Center Experience
  • Math Skills
  • Keen Attention to Detail
  • Professional Written and Verbal Communication
