Job Description
DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering team, focusing on the PerfectScale platform. This role involves working on core backend solutions, powering the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with product managers and developers from other teams, contributing to product-making decisions. DoiT is a global technology company that works with cloud-driven organizations to leverage the cloud to drive business growth and innovation.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver solutions.
- Implementing features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices.
- Improving the health of the codebase and addressing technical debt.
- Providing feedback during team planning and discussions.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python).
- 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
- 2+ years of experience with high traffic/high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance/schema/query optimization.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD).
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
- Proactive approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
