Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) - PerfectScale by DoiT (Bulgaria)

Job Description

DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering team for PerfectScale, a Kubernetes optimization and management solution. The engineer will work on core backend solutions, powering the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. This role involves collaborating with product managers and developers from other teams, as well as participating in product-making decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver solutions for complex problems.
• Implement features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices and perform code reviews.
• Improve the health of the codebase and address technical debt.
• Provide feedback during team planning and discussions to identify challenges and unknowns.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python).
• 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
• 2+ years of experience with high traffic / high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance/schema/query optimization (ClickHouse and Postgres are a plus).
• Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers (Docker).
• Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD).
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
• Proactive and flexible approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
