Job Description
DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join the PerfectScale team. This role involves working on core backend solutions, powering the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and developers from other teams, participating in product-making decisions. The position is remote within EMEA, specifically targeting candidates in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, and Spain, with consideration for contractors in East Europe and Portugal.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver solutions.
- Implementing features from proposal to maintenance.
- Writing clean and maintainable code, ensuring best practices.
- Improving codebase health and addressing technical debt.
- Providing feedback during planning and discussions.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python).
- 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
- 2+ years of experience with high traffic/high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance optimization.
- Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers.
- Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD).
- Proactive approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
