Job Description
DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Engineering teams in EMEA, specifically for the PerfectScale platform. The role is remote-based in Spain.
DoiT is a global technology company that helps cloud-driven organizations leverage the cloud for business growth. They deliver DoiT Cloud Intelligence, a solution that integrates advanced technology with human expertise.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, the candidate will play a key role in building and evolving the core backend systems that power PerfectScale’s data platform and business logic. He/she will collaborate with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to design scalable systems and contribute to product decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, devops, backend and frontend engineers to deliver solutions
- Implement features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance
- Write clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices
- Improve the health of the codebase
- Provide feedback during team planning and discussions
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English
- 6+ years of backend development experience (Go / Java / Rust / Python)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Golang in a production environment
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems and data pipelines
- Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases; PostgreSQL experience is a plus
- Experience developing SaaS products in microservice architectures
- Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tooling: CI/CD, GitOps, K8s, Docker
- Strong system design skills
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, organized, and outcome-focused
