Job Description
DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering team, working on the PerfectScale platform. This role involves collaborating with product managers and other engineers to deliver solutions for complex problems. The Senior Backend Engineer will be responsible for implementing features, writing clean and maintainable code, and improving the health of the codebase. DoiT offers a pioneering Kubernetes optimization and management solution that empowers DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering teams to optimize cloud performance while minimizing costs.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with product, devops, backend and frontend engineers
- Implementing features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance
- Writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices
- Improving the health of the codebase
- Providing feedback during team planning and discussions
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English
- 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python)
- 3+ years of commercial Golang experience
- 2+ years of experience with high traffic / high load distributed systems and data pipelines
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance / schema / query optimization
- Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers
- Experienced working with microservices and containers (Docker)
- Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD)
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
- Proactive approach and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated
