Senior Backend Engineer - PerfectScale by DoiT

Job Description

DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering team for PerfectScale, a Kubernetes optimization and management solution. This role involves working on core backend solutions, powering the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and developers from other teams, participating in product-making decisions.

• Collaborating with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver solutions for complex problems
• Implementing features from proposal through design, implementation, and maintenance
• Writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices and performing code reviews
• Improving the health of the codebase and addressing technical debt
• Providing feedback during team planning and discussions to identify challenges and unknowns

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python)
• 3+ years of commercial Golang experience
• 2+ years of experience with high traffic / high load distributed systems and data pipelines
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance / schema / query optimization (ClickHouse and Postgres are a big advantage)
• Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers
• Experienced working with microservices and containers (Docker)
• Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD)
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Proactive approach and ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated
