Job Description
DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering team for the PerfectScale platform. This role is focused on building core backend solutions that power the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. The engineer will collaborate with product managers and other developers, contributing to product decisions. DoiT offers a pioneering Kubernetes optimization and management solution that empowers DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering teams to optimize cloud performance while minimizing costs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers to deliver solutions for complex problems.
  • Implementing features from proposal and design through implementation and maintenance.
  • Writing clean and maintainable code using engineering best practices and performing code reviews.
  • Improving the health of the codebase and addressing technical debt.
  • Providing feedback during planning and discussions to identify challenges and unknowns.

Requirements include:
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python).
  • 3+ years of commercial Golang experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with high traffic / high load distributed systems and data pipelines.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including performance / schema / query optimization (ClickHouse and PostgreSQL are a plus).
  • Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers.
  • Experience working with microservices and containers (Docker).
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices (Docker, K8s, GitOps, CI/CD).
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Proactive approach and ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
