Senior Backend Engineer - PerfectScale by DoiT (Romania)

Job Description

DoiT is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their EMEA engineering team for the PerfectScale platform. This role is focused on building core backend solutions that power the PerfectScale data pipeline and business logic. The Senior Backend Engineer will collaborate with product managers and other developers, contributing to product decisions and feature implementation.

The role involves working on complex problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and improving the codebase's health. The engineer will also provide feedback during planning and discussions, identifying challenges early on.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with product, DevOps, backend, and frontend engineers
• Implementing features from proposal to maintenance
• Writing clean and maintainable code
• Improving codebase health
• Providing feedback on upcoming work

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills in English
• 6+ years of backend development experience (Go/Java/Rust/Python)
• 3+ years of commercial Golang experience
• 2+ years of experience with high traffic/high load distributed systems and data pipelines
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases
• Experience developing enterprise-grade SaaS products, microservices, and containers
• Familiarity with modern DevOps frameworks and best practices
• Proactive approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
