Job Description
Auctane is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its Data Products team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining customer-facing data products. The ideal candidate will work with a massive dataset, utilizing the latest architecture patterns and technologies. Auctane offers a flat and open engineering culture where data drives decisions.
What this role involves:
- Designing, building, and managing data pipelines and analytics solutions on AWS.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to implement the Data Products strategy.
- Developing frameworks for data acquisition, processing, and monitoring.
- Driving the design and architecture of Auctane’s data product.
- Implementing and operating systems while advocating for data quality and observability.
- Delivering reliable software and data pipelines using software engineering best practices.
Requirements:
- Strong Data Engineering background in data warehouse or data lake architecture.
- Experience working in AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure.
- Experience developing and supporting automated data pipelines in Python and SQL.
- Mastery of Python and SQL skills.
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Spark, Athena, or Pandas.
- Knowledge of Data Orchestration solutions, preferably Airflow.
- Knowledge of relational database design as well as Snowflake/Redshift or similar.
