Job Description
Temporal Technologies is seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and evolve the core building blocks of the Temporal developer experience. The Senior Product Manager will partner with engineering to shape the core SDKs and programming model, enabling developers to build fault-tolerant, distributed applications. They will play a key role in making complex systems feel intuitive through thoughtful design of primitives, abstractions, and developer-facing APIs.
What this role involves:
- Owning and evolving the core programming primitives of the Temporal SDKs.
- Engaging with the developer community to understand Temporal usage.
- Defining product strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s SDK and programming model.
- Translating complex technical requirements into simple developer experiences.
- Collaborating with teams across SDKs, server, and web UI.
- Representing the voice of the developer in product decisions.
Requirements:
- Strong technical foundation and experience with developer platforms, SDKs, APIs, or infrastructure products.
- Hands-on experience writing code in one or more languages (e.g., Go, Java, TypeScript, Python, Rust, etc.).
- Prior experience building or contributing to developer tools, programming models, or infrastructure abstractions.
- A developer-first mindset and a passion for improving the usability of complex systems.
- Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear product requirements.
- Strong understanding of Product Management fundamentals.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, or a hybrid background that includes software engineering and product work.
- Knowledge of distributed systems is a plus.
