Job Description

VGW, an interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Engineering team in Sydney. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for improving the codebase, understanding design decisions, and ensuring effective product feature delivery. The role involves implementing event-driven architectures and cloud development on AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, well-structured code and automated tests
• Managing source control
• Improving the codebase
• Understanding design and architectural decisions
• Ensuring effective product feature delivery
• Implementing and using event-driven architectures

Requirements:

• Robust coding practices
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Cloud development experience (AWS)
• Containerization experience (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
• Strong knowledge of OO and Functional programming paradigms
• Collaborative approach to software engineering
