Affirm is seeking a Fraud Model Risk Manager to join their Model Risk Management (MRM) team. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining an effective MRM framework to manage model risk across the company. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally, developing a deep understanding of models that drive business decisions and mitigating risks associated with model design and usage.
Role involves:
- Performing independent challenges of machine learning models for fraud detection.
- Identifying model weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborating with model owners to remediate validation findings.
- Partnering cross-functionally to maintain the MRM framework.
- Ensuring timely resolution of audit and regulatory requests.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in model development, validation, or data science.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning modeling, fraud detection, and risk management.
- Proficiency in script languages like Python and SQL.
- Experience with machine learning platforms and cloud-based environments.
- BS, MS, or PhD in a quantitative field.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
