Job Description
Affirm is seeking a Quantitative Analyst I to join their Quantitative Markets team. This role is remote within Canada. Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, offering consumers buy now, pay later options without hidden fees or compounding interest. The Quantitative Markets team structures and prices debt funding deals, develops platforms for optimizing funding strategies, and builds data-driven models to analyze consumer loan performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in process automation, optimization, and quantitative/machine learning model development. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential due to the role's cross-functional nature.
What this role involves:
- Develop automation tools and optimize existing business processes.
- Advance Affirm’s asset-liability management model.
- Build data-driven models to analyze and predict consumer loan performance.
- Partner cross-functionally with various teams.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in technical areas.
- Strong data-manipulation and model development skills using Python/R.
- Experience building quantitative models or implementing machine learning models is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and critically.
