Software Engineer II (Consumer Servicing)

Job Description

Affirm is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their AI Agents engineering team within the Servicing Engineering organization. This role is focused on providing a conversational first point of contact for Affirm's customers, orchestrating systems to continuously find solutions. The team is newly formed, offering the opportunity to take ownership and execute what is necessary.What This Role Involves:

• Breaking down larger projects into individual tasks and delivering them in phases.
• Collaborating with product management, design, and analytics to provide technical input.
• Supporting the operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics.
• Contributing to team community through growth and development activities.

What Affirm is Looking For:

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Mastery of translating business scenarios into solutions that interact with multiple software components.
• Comfort navigating large codebases and debugging others' code.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
