Software Development Engineer Testing III - Platform

Job Description

CommerceIQ is seeking a Software Development Engineer Testing III to contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for setting up and implementing test automation strategies from functional and non-functional perspectives for one or more modules. They will find innovative ways to optimize the test strategy for maximizing ROI from automation areas. The role involves adding new capabilities and features to the automation framework used by the entire QA team. The candidate will also manage and maintain test coverage through periodic reports to engineering and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in software testing
• Solid understanding of testing principles, testing types, and methodologies
• Fluency in JavaScript, Java, or Python
• Solid knowledge of SQL
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks from scratch
• Experience in Database Testing
• Understanding of functional/technical specifications and ability to analyze server logs
• Hands-on experience with UI automation tools (Cypress preferred)
• Hands-on experience in web service testing and API automation using Rest Assured/Postman
• Hands-on experience in performance testing using tools like Jmeter
• Exposure to Amazon AWS or similar cloud providers
• Exposure with Linux commands and shell scripts
• Hands-on experience in CI-CD tools like Jenkins
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
