The Account Executive role at Retool is a key position for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's presence in the EMEA region. The role involves managing deals from start to finish, navigating organizational structures, and demonstrating the value of Retool to prospective customers.

Retool is looking for someone with experience in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or business intelligence, and the ability to manage complex sales processes. The person should be at ease working in a hybrid work envirnoment.

What the role involves:

  • Defining the enterprise playbook for European customers.
  • Identifying and qualifying leads to high-value opportunities.
  • Building relationships with executive levels to understand their needs.
  • Owning the closing process, including negotiations.
  • Keeping Salesforce updated with customer information.
  • Developing and executing a strategic plan to meet revenue objectives.
  • Working with technical stakeholders to identify opportunities for Retool.
  • Partnering with sales engineers and the executive team to create relationships.
  • Collaborating with Engineering to deploy new features.

The job requires:

  • Experience hitting quota of $1M+ of ARR per year.
  • A track record of driving activity and quota achievement.
  • 5-8+ years of sales experience in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, databases, and/or business intelligence.
  • A solution-based approach to selling and the ability to manage a complex sales process.
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills, organization, and contact management capabilities.
  • A hands-on approach to learning technical concepts and leading technical discussions.
