Job Description
Vercel is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its CI/CD Features team. This role is pivotal in shaping Vercel’s CI/CD product strategy, expanding the team, and ensuring a seamless experience for Vercel's clientele. The Engineering Manager will collaborate closely with product management, go-to-market teams, and other engineering partners to define the product strategy based on customer needs.
What This Role Involves:
- Growing and supporting a team of 4 full-stack product engineers
- Defining product strategy based on customer needs
- Monitoring and improving key product metrics
- Setting a high standard for code quality, design, and UX architecture
- Writing and reviewing code to unblock the team
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of hands-on development experience
- At least 3 years of full-stack product engineering experience
- At least 3 years of experience in technical leadership
- Experience building and deploying large web projects
- Firm grasp of web architecture and front-end technologies
- Deep understanding of React and Next.js best practices
- Strong sense of accountability and commitment to problem solving
- Willingness to proactively engage with development teams
- Capability to manage risk, make decisions, and exhibit sound judgment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver long-term projects
